Alyx Harch is a multidisciplinary artist based in Chicago, IL. She received a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a concentration in painting and fiber material studies. Alyx’s work is first and foremost gestural. Drawings, garments, handmade paper objects, and paper pulp images invoke nontraditional painting to edit and refine her distinctive visual language. In 2018 she launched a line of bags and garments under the name HARCH, which is widely recognized for her one-of-a-kind wearable collages made from repurposed t-shirts. She has exhibited in multiple galleries throughout the Chicago area, has shown at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Detroit, is a 2019 Resident at ACRE Residency in Steuben, Wisconsin, and was selected by Virgil Abloh as the Visual Artist Mentor for the NikeLab Re-Creation Center.
